Placement guide

Space is a resource you spend one pickup at a time.

Lootbound’s public description calls out free placement and rotation. Treat the backpack as a live decision surface, then use the game’s tooltips to judge the exact effect of a move.

Rotate before rejecting an item.

An awkward shape can become usable when it is rotated. The best early habit is to test orientation before deciding there is no room, especially when a move can also create an Aura neighbour.

Keep two kinds of space.

  • Working space: cells that currently support an adjacency you want to preserve.
  • Flexible space: cells you can use for a future shape, rotation, or rearrangement.

Keeping only one kind makes a run brittle. A neat board can still leave no way to react to the next loot choice.

Use the real interface for specifics.
