1. Read every pickup as a space decision.
Lootbound’s official description says items can be freely placed and rotated. That makes shape and position part of the decision. Before taking a new item, pause to see whether it blocks future adjacency or leaves useful room for another shape.
2. Watch the cells around an Aura.
Aura affects adjacent items. You do not need a numerical calculator to learn from this: put relevant items next to each other, then compare the information the game shows you after moving them.
- Check orthogonal neighbours first.
- Leave room to rotate or reposition after a later pickup.
- Treat a clean layout as an option, not a finished answer.
3. Keep the party in view.
Companions equip separately and act automatically. Use each encounter to notice what your current party covers, then let that observation guide the next pickup instead of assuming a universal best choice.
4. Use risk rooms deliberately.
Dice rooms are described as risk/reward events. Ask one plain question before rolling: does this run currently need the possible upside more than it needs stability? There is no published one-line optimal answer for every room.
